For 20 years, Teachers College has been annually convening a cultural festival for all of its faculty members, students, and personnel. It is the Teachers College Book and E-Book Fair. This Fair is a unique Cultural platform for the Saudi, Arab and international book industry to establish and grow relationships amongst and with the Saudi community in Riyadh and other Saudi areas. The exhibition covers every type of technological development with all means of thought and culture. Moreover, it highlights the importance of the printed book as one of the major sources of propagating culture, documenting knowledge, and delivering them to new generations.

At the same time, it was a huge cultural event for the public that had a lot of events taking place for more than twenty years, covering the entire range from readings, book launches, discussions and seminars. Visitors not only discovered the newest releases but were also able to purchase them at the fair.

The Book Fair is a strategic aim that the College attempts to achieve out of its responsibility as a teaching and educational institution, allowing for the exchange of ideas and expertise to establish a foundation for this annual event.

The fair's primary objective is to provide an intellectual forum for all interested in debating and discussing global issues of humanity and culture.

The Cape Town Book Fair is committed to the establishment of a vibrant meeting place and sees itself as a catalyst for the support to the development of thought and culture in Saudi Arabia.
 

In support of these objectives, it will endorse, collaborate and organize a series of workshops and forums to achieve one of its key objectives via introducing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a place of literary origination.

The College is the  purveyor and the sponsor of all the activities of the exhibition. The organization and administration of the Fair is achieved through committees formed annually.

With more than 100 exhibitors featuring hundreds and thousands of book titles, the event promises once again to bring together players in book publishing and its allied industries who are expected to rake in millions in outright sales and orders from their target markets.

Indeed, the visitors are viewed to increase every year as more exhibitors, more great deals and buys, and more exciting and educational special events are expected to fill the halls of the exhibition venue located at the College.

We call on our partners in the book industry to re-echo what books and other educational materials can do to us individually and collectively for the growth and development of the country.
