Introduction
The
vision of the College is based on the premise that a teacher is the cornerstone
of education. While it asserts the
role of the teacher as pivotal to learning, the College also emphasizes that
the teacher’s role extends beyond feeding knowledge to students.
The College prepares its students to be teachers who create an
atmosphere which makes it easy for students to access knowledge on their own.
In addition, students become familiar with using investigative and
problem-solving strategies.
The
College instills in teachers the attitude that all children have the potential
to create. Learning is conceived
of as a continuous process with no limits in regard to age or previous
educational achievement. The
College also creates an educational atmosphere through experiences enabling
students to study on their own and acquire learning skills that will stay with
them.
The College affirms in all its regulations that a teacher’s behavior and
conduct should act as a model for students.
The College believes that competent and well-trained teachers will nurture a
generation of good citizens who have the future of the country in their hands.
