The
Department offers B.S. degree in computer education. At the undergraduate level
the Department aims particularly to equip students with up-to-date knowledge
and practical skills required for school computer teachers. Computer
laboratories are available to enrich the theoretical background of prospective
teachers. An important objective given a high priority by the department is to
provide its teacher graduates with relevant contemporary information, training,
and prerequisite skills to enable them guide their students to the promising
future.

Historical overview

The
Department of Computer Education was founded in 1417 H/1997. The programs of
the department were launched in the academic year 1418/1998 as the admission
for joining the Department started.

undergraduate program is designed to gain B.S. degree in computer education,
including teaching certificate. Graduates are qualified to teach in basic
education schools and high schools.
