The
Smart
College Initiative
An
Overview:
Wireless
networks are considered a good and important choice for establishing a virtual
network, if we put into
consideration, particularly, the low cost of installation. Recently,
governmental institutions increasingly start to launch such an initiative which
becomes a competitive choice to hard wired networks in offering small or medium
capacity Application services. Over the time, wireless networks will be the
first choice for almost all users and applications.
The
Smart College Initiative (SCI) is based upon the idea that all College network
users (faculty, students, and personnel) can connect to internet wirelessly in
campus without being hard wired.
